Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your order: what you ordered, the pickup day and time, any note for the kitchen, what you paid, and its status.
• Contact details you give us: your name, and the mobile number and email you enter at checkout or give us for a catering order.
• Payment result: from Stripe, whether your payment succeeded and a reference to it for refunds. We never see or store your card number; it goes straight to Stripe.
• Text consent: which kinds of texts you agreed to, when, and the exact wording you agreed to, so we can show we had your permission.
• Technical: ordinary server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested), used to keep the site working and secure.

We do not collect your date of birth, government ID, precise location, or any sensitive personal information, and we do not ask for an account or password.

Cookies and your browser

Your cart is kept in your own browser until you check out. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, no analytics that follow you across sites, and no ad networks or social media pixels. Because we don't track you, there is nothing for a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off, but we honor both.

How we use it

• To make your order, have it ready, and hand it to the right person.
• To contact you about your order, and to answer your questions.
• If you give an email, to send your order's receipts, invoices, refunds and pickup notices to it. Nothing else is sent there.
• To send texts you agreed to, and only those (below).
• To handle refunds, problems and disputes.
• To keep the sales and tax records the law requires.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.

Text messages

Order texts and menu or offer texts are separate permissions. Checking the box at checkout agrees to texts about that order only: confirmation, ready for pickup, and for catering orders an invoice and receipt, around two messages per order. Menu and offer texts, if we send them, need their own sign-up, are up to four a month, and are never required to buy anything. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop, or HELP for help. If you stop, we keep a record that you did so that we never text you again by mistake.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. The services that deliver our texts (below) see your number only to deliver them.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it to profile you. We share it only with the services we need to run the shop, each limited to its job:

• Wunshop, which runs this website and our ordering system and holds your information on our behalf, under our instructions.
• Stripe, to take card payments, under its own privacy policy.
• Our text-messaging provider and the mobile carriers, to deliver texts you agreed to.
• Hosting and email providers that keep the site and our mail running.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it (a valid subpoena or court order), to protect someone's safety, or to a buyer of our business, who would be bound by this policy for what we collected under it.

How long we keep it

• Orders and payment records: seven years, because tax and accounting rules require it. Your contact details stay with the orders they belong to.
• Text consent records: while you are subscribed, and afterward as long as needed to show we had your permission. A STOP request is kept so we keep honoring it.
• Server logs: only briefly, as long as needed to keep the site running and secure.

Your rights

Wherever you live in the US, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, or delete what we are not required to keep. Contact us below from the phone number or email on your order so we can confirm it's you; someone you authorize may ask for you with your written permission. We answer within 30 days, for free, and treat you no differently for asking. If we turn down a request, we will say why, and you can ask us to reconsider by replying to that answer.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people who need it, and card details never reach us. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date. We will not use information we already hold in a materially different way without your consent. See also our terms of sale.
