Terms of sale
Last updated October 6, 2026
These terms apply when you order from Sanjha Chulha, Riverstone, Sugar Land, TX ("Sanjha Chulha," "we," "us"), on this website, by phone or text, or in person. By placing an order you agree to them and to our privacy policy, and you confirm you are 18 or older or have a parent's or guardian's permission to order. Please read the "Disclaimers and limits on liability" section in particular.
Who you are buying from
You are buying from Sanjha Chulha, and only Sanjha Chulha is responsible to you for your order and our food. Card payments are processed by Stripe.
Wunshop, the service that runs this website
This website and our ordering system run on Wunshop (wunshop.com), a software service we use. Wunshop is not the seller: it does not make, handle, inspect or deliver our food, and it is not a party to your order. Any claim about an order or our food is against us, not Wunshop.
Wunshop makes no promise to you about our food, your order or this website, and to the fullest extent the law allows has no liability to you for any of them. Wunshop may rely on and enforce this section and the "Disclaimers and limits on liability" section below as if it were a party to these terms.
Ordering
- Your order is confirmed only when your payment goes through and we send you a confirmation. A page that says "thank you" before then is not a confirmation.
- Prices are in US dollars. Any sales tax that applies is shown before you pay. Menu items, prices and quantities can change at any time before your order is confirmed.
- We may decline or cancel any order, including one with an obvious pricing error or one we can't make (for example, if an ingredient runs short). If we cancel, we refund everything you paid for that order, and that refund is the whole of what we owe you for it.
- Catering and custom orders follow the terms written on their invoice (deposit, when the order is confirmed, and until when it can be canceled).
Pickup
- Orders are for pickup at the day and time shown on your confirmation. We do not deliver or ship.
- We will hand your order to anyone who gives its name or order number. If someone else is picking up for you, that's how they get it.
- An order not picked up by the end of its pickup day is forfeited and not refunded, because the food has already been made. If you are running late, tell us; we will hold it if we can.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
- You can cancel an order until the end of the day before pickup. We refund what you paid minus the card and order processing fees on it (usually 3–5% of the order), which we have already paid and do not get back. After that, food is being made for you, and changes or refunds are at our discretion.
- If we cancel your order, you get everything back, with no fees kept.
- If something is wrong with your order, tell us the same day you pick it up, with a photo if you can. We will make it right, our choice: we replace what was wrong, or refund the price of what was wrong, with no fees kept. One missing item out of four refunds that one item, not the whole order.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank usually shows them within 5–10 business days.
- Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; we can usually fix things faster. This does not affect any right you have with your card issuer.
Cottage food, allergens and food safety
This food is made in a home kitchen and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department. We operate as a cottage food production operation under Texas law, which is why we sell directly to you rather than through shops or restaurants. Our food is sold for you and your household or guests to eat, not for resale.
Our kitchen handles milk, wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, sesame and mustard. Each dish lists the allergens we know about, but our kitchen is not allergen-free and not separated, so we cannot guarantee any dish is free of any allergen, including traces. It is your responsibility to read the allergen information and to ask us before ordering. If you, or anyone you are feeding, has a serious allergy, do not order unless we have confirmed in writing that the dish is suitable.
Once you pick up your order, its safe handling is up to you: refrigerate anything perishable within 2 hours, and eat it by the date on the label, or within the day if there is none. Nothing on this site is medical or nutritional advice.
Text messages
If you check the box for order texts, we text you about that order: confirmation, ready for pickup, and for catering orders an invoice and receipt. Around two messages per order. Menu and offer texts, if we send them, are a separate sign-up that is never required to buy anything. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Using this website
Use this site only to browse and order for yourself. Don't misuse it: no false orders or payment details, no automated scraping or ordering, nothing that interferes with the site or other customers. Our name, photos and menu text are ours; please don't copy them without asking.
Disclaimers and limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows: the website is provided "as is" and "as available," and we make no warranties about it, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Our only promise about the food is the one above: if something is wrong, we will replace it or refund it, and that is your sole remedy for a problem with an order.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising from the website, an order, or our food, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order it concerns.
We are not responsible for reactions caused by an allergen that was disclosed to you, for food handled or stored unsafely after pickup, or for delays caused by events outside our control (weather, power or internet outages, illness, supplier shortages). Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Texas law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or takes away a right you have by law as a consumer.
Disputes
If you have a problem, contact us first and give us 30 days to resolve it; most things take a day. Texas law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that isn't resolved goes to the state or federal courts for the county where we are located in Texas, and either of us may use small claims court where it qualifies.
The rest
These terms, our privacy policy and anything written on your order or invoice are the whole agreement between us about your order. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term once doesn't waive it. We may update these terms; the version on this page when you place an order is the one that applies to it.
